We are pleased to announce after many months of planning, East West partner Kelvin Chan has finally completed the move and set up of our China side office in the centre of Chengdu. Our two bases in China now cover Chengdu with our digital and our technical team partners based in Shenzhen.

With a population of over 15 million people and the capital of southwestern China's Sichuan province, Chengdu's history dates back to the 4th century B.C. Choosing Chengdu for East Wests base was very much based upon where the city sits. With 2 to 3 hour flight times to all the key cities in China from Beijing in the north to Shanghai in the East and Hong Kong in the south. This location allows East West to reach all the key business hubs with ease.
Kelvin commented, " We still have a lot to do in terms of local administration, set up and settling in but we are very excited about this strategic decision for the business. Having " boots on the ground " makes a big difference to what we can offer to both our Western clients as well as create a direct touch point for Chinese companies looking to break into Western markets."
